Manuel Badel - senior consultant, speaker and certified Blockchain Professional - from Badel Media in Canada will present 'A brief story of a 'Blockchained' future for content creation and distribution'.
By allowing digital information to be distributed but not copied, blockchain technology created the backbone of a new type of internet. Originally devised for the digital currency, Bitcoin, now the creative industries are finding other potential uses for the technology.
How could blockchain technologies impact the film and television sectors? This event will present the role that blockchain can play in IP protection, DRM, collaboration, financing, monetization and distribution whilst illustrating through a series of case studies what the “Internet of value” means.
This talk will be followed by a presentation and a discussion about the Canadian film and television landscape, and the potential to collaborate and co-produce with Canadian creators.
