Bonnie and Braw
Bonnie and Braw has been operating as an independent entity for over a year. They started making short documentaries for brands (winning two best short doc awards on the festival circuit) and their focus is on giving volume to unheard Scottish voices.
They focus mainly on documentaries, and are in unpaid development on a number of projects with BBC, BBC Scotland, National Geographic and Sky Arts. They have also produced two seasons of the podcast series, MAKING IT: WOMEN IN FILM, and 1 season of the Web series, HIDDEN VOICES. Since focusing only on TV and film development since the start of 2023, they have attracted investment allowing them to grow and strengthen their slate, and made progress with networks and commissioners, while also growing one specific, larger project (with international US-based producers) to develop it further.
They are seeking to create more sustainable income streams, secure commissions and access development funding from, e.g. Screen Scotland. They are seeking support on funding applications and building networks.
