Nic Guttridge
Nic Guttridge is a documentary story consultant and executive producer, working collaboratively with filmmakers and production companies to maximize the editorial impact of their work. Whether developing pitch assets, road-mapping pre-shoot scripts, helping to navigate unexpected curveballs on location, or troubleshooting in the edit, his insights and solutions keep projects on track, while safeguarding against potentially costly schedule and budget overruns. Projects include the Netflix feature documentary The Spy Who Fell to Earth, the AACTA nominated series The Night Caller for Sky/ Sundance Now, and Inside Greenpeace for Sky.
Previously Nic was an award-winning director, with over 100 credits for all major UK and many international networks. He is also an experienced and highly regarded industry trainer, running workshops in storytelling, directing, shooting for the edit, and interview techniques, and is a mentor for Documentary Campus Masterschool and Campus Istanbul.
Nic is a former board member and long-serving chair of Directors UK’s Factual Committee.
