Skye Films Ltd
Lena Vurma, Founder-Producer of Skye Films Ltd, has produced films with her German company, dragonfly films, and has a German-British-Polish co-production feature film on release: Adventures of a Mathematician, which sold to 20+ territories, and played 70+ film festivals.
Lena relocated from Berlin to the Isle of Skye to set up Skye Films Ltd in 2021. After producing several short films and 3 feature films out of Germany, the goal is to establish Skye Films and produce feature films and TV series out of the UK. Current series INCOMERS, set in Scotland, got accepted onto the prestigious Torino film lab TV NEXT, and Skye Films was selected for the Pact Future30 scheme! Skye Films also aims to nurture up-and-coming British talent.
Lena is also an Inside Pictures alumnus and a mentor for ScreenSkills UK. As head of acquisitions for an independent distributor she also has a great overview of the current film market and excellent relationships to international sales.
