Lloyd Gunton

Lloyd has more than 13 years’ experience in accounting practice, having trained EY’s media audit division, progressing to manager before joining Saffery, where he specialized in creative sector Incentives. In 2022 Lloyd joined FLB Accountants, which was acquired by Entertainment Partners, overseeing the creation of the firm’s creative sector incentive offering, providing UK incentives support for a wide range of domestic and international clients spanning from micro-budget independent production companies and game developers to major Hollywood studios.

Lloyd supports clients during every phase of production, from prep, advising on incentive estimates, providing formal opinions to financiers on tax credits and structuring advice to maximize incentive value, through to handling the interim and final claim processes, and right up to cash receipt. He has advised on films including No Time To Die, the television show His Dark Materials, the upcoming Anxious People starring Angelina Jolie, the BAFTA nominated Ballad of Wallis Island, the reboot of Bergerac and the Cannes Un Certain Regard nominated Urchin.

Widely considered an expert in the UK’s creative sector Incentives, Lloyd also has extensive technical accounting experience in the film & TV sector, including audit services and reporting under the UK and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the International Financial Reporting Standards.
