Mike is a 30-year career professional in the film, music and entertainment industries. He has worked in management and senior UK and international marketing roles at HMV, EMI Music, Universal Pictures and The Walt Disney Company as well as a marketing consultant for independent filmmakers and as marcomms lead at ScreenSkills (previously known as Creative Skillset), the skills body for the UK screen-based creative industries.
Mike works with film-makers, creatives and trainers to plan and manage their marketing and promotional activities. With extensive knowledge, experience and relationships within the film, entertainment and music industries, Mike specialises in a flexible and practical approach to marketing; crafting appropriate strategy and executing plans to available budgets.
He's a firm advocate of applying marketing solutions at the earliest possible stage in the product life-cycle. Marketing and publicity is a critical component needed to deliver a creative product to its appropriate audience at all stages of its life-cycle and it needs to be deployed throughout for best results.
