Martin Tynan, Lee and Thompson
Martin is a Senior Associate in Lee & Thompson LLP's Employment team and advises across the creative sectors on a broad range of employment law matters.
He routinely advises independent producers with preparing appropriate contracts to engage cast, crew and other members of personnel, whether for specific productions or on an ongoing basis, including in relation to restrictions regarding competition, confidentiality and intellectual property.
He has extensive experience in dealing with issues relating to performance, sickness absence, disciplinary issues, discrimination, harassment and termination; and he also advises clients on matters of IR35 and employment status, including in relation to the processes and protections clients should have in place to address issues that may arise.
Martin joined Lee & Thompson in 2020 from Penningtons Manches Cooper where he gained significant experience working on employment tribunal litigation. Before qualifying as a solicitor in 2017, Martin worked as a paralegal at a leading UK film production and distribution company.
